By now, it has probably hit you: winter is coming, fast. I
woke up this morning to find a chill in the New York City air and – as a result
– dry skin on my face. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are officially in
dry, flaky skin season. Luckily, there's a quick, easy, and all-natural way to
combat chapped skin and restore a natural glow. Best of all? You can make it
with ingredients found in your kitchen (well, some of them anyway).
It's no secret that I have been in a long-term battle for clear skin, but this year, I have developed a whole new philosophy on wellness. Rather than running to the dermatologist or nearest drugstore for a quick lotion fix, I have adopted an "Inside Out" approach, harnessing the power of food to naturally and gradually heal the body.

After playing around with a few different types of
food-based face masks, I discovered this one, which is effective, even for for
sensitive skin. Chock full of healing agents and antioxidants, this mask is
perfect for chapped, windburned, and even sunburned skin. Plus, it's fun to
make.
